<p>Aelyth is a support for your <a href="/index.php?title=Ryssovass_Defenders" title="Ryssovass Defenders">Ryssovass Defenders</a> and your non blighted Nyss in general. By granting +1 to attack rolls and Dying Breath to his dedicated unit he really tunes the Defenders up to eleven; making them punishing for opponents to deal with in melee. Because Dying Breath is an Elite Cadre ability it persists after Aelyth’s death.
</p><p>On his own he's an OK combat solo, with slightly above-average defensive stats, but also the ability to exact revenge on someone when he dies. This helps mitigate his slightly inflated cost for his own output. It’s also worth mentioning that Reposition 3 when in the only theme he is allowed in makes him mobile as well as defensive with a good sword.

However, the fact that he is not attached to a single unit, allows him to buff 2 units at once in his CMD bubble. You can get him for free in the <a class="mw-redirect" href="/index.php?title=Defenders_of_Ios" title="Defenders of Ios">Defenders of Ios</a> theme, where he gets a handy Reposition.</li>
<li> Any Nyss, not just Ryssovass gain +1 to hit from him. This stacks with the <a href="/index.php?title=Priest_of_Nyssor" title="Priest of Nyssor">Priest of Nyssor</a> and pushes the odds to hit for <a class="mw-redirect" href="/index.php?title=Nyss_Hunters" title="Nyss Hunters">Nyss Hunters</a>, <a href="/index.php?title=Scythe" title="Scythe">Scythe</a> and <a class="mw-redirect" href="/index.php?title=Lanyssa" title="Lanyssa">Lanyssa</a> to obscene levels.</li></ul>

<ul><li> If you are hit by a knockdown effect <i>during your own turn</i> then ... nothing happens. <i>Unless</i> it was a Slam or a Throw that knocked you down. <br/>In that situation, there is a core rule that says "models immune to knockdown that become knocked down from a slam or throw must forfeit either movement or action when they activate". But that core rule doesn't apply to other knockdowns (lots of players assume it does)</li>
<li> Steady models are still susceptible to other effects of knock-down attacks (if there are any). For instance, a Head Butt attack causes damage and knockdown - a Steady model would still take the damage.</li>
<li> A knocked down model that <i>gains</i> Steady will <i>remain</i> knocked down, because the "cannot be knocked down" is not retroactively applied.</li>
