Choose a friendly living or undead non-warcaster, non-warlock Faction model in the spellcaster's control range. Make a SP 6 magic attack using the chosen model as the attack's point of origin. The SP 6 attack can target models in the chosen model's back arc. Models hit suffer a damage roll with a POW equal to the base STR + 5 of the chosen model. Rules Clarification : Essence Blast (Edit)

If you choose one of your own warbeasts as the 'exploding' model, then it is unclear whether you can reeve the fury from it. (Infernals are currently checking it)
When you choose the friendly model, you are not targeting it with a spell so anti-magic stuff like Arcane Vortex won't trigger.
However when you make the spray attack you are targetting something, and the anti-magic stuff can trigger.
