It was nearly 1200 years ago that the Orgoth landed upon the shores of Immoren for the first time. Their empire, the largest in history, already blanketed multiple continents. Where they sailed, death and conquest followed, and the Iron Kingdoms were no different. The scale of the destruction wrought by the Orgoth Empire upon the Iron Kingdoms such that the IK still date years as AR, After Rebellion. The Rebellion started 600 years ago, and took 200 years to complete - so overall the Orgoth ruled the IK for 800 years and have been absent for the past 400 years.

Not much is known about the origin of the Orgoth, other than that they worshiped the Fellgoeth order of Infernals (note that this is a different and competing order to the Nonokrion Infernals you can play in-game as a full Faction). Knowledge was lost because the Orgoth scourged the IK during their 20 year long retreat - scorching towns and salting the land, destroying their own monuments, burning records, killing slaves, and even killing their own warriors - all in an attempt to wipe their existence from the IK's collective memory so that they might be forgetten, and the Orgoth might someday return.

It was the Orgoth whom built the great fortress of Drer Drakkerung on Garlghast Island; the Orgoth whom struck the fatal blow to the once mighty Khardic Empire; it was the Orgoth whom defeated the Tordoran Armada in the Battle of a thousand sails - still the bloodiest day all of Immoren naval history; it was the Orgoth whom sacrificed slaves by the thousands at their Hengehold stronghold; it was the Orgoth who are the only army in history to make it past the Rhulic borders, pushing as far as Horgenhold; it was the Orgoth pushed so far south into the Scharde Isles that the dragonfather Toruk took to the skies in a show of force to dissuade further incursions into his territory, the only time Toruk felt the need to respond to a non-draconic threat.

This is the legacy, the threat, and the terror of the Orgoth. And now they return.

Mini-Faction
As with all Factions released after 2013, Orgoth has a much smaller range of models than the pre-2013 Factions. The upside is that it's easier to complete your collection, the downside is that list-building has less variety.

As an in-game counterbalance to this low variety, the synergies within the Faction are strong and/or models have uniquely powerful abilities. Some Mini-Factions even have rules that affect the core rules of the game.
