Talk:Setting up a new ability/spell/etc page

I'm mentioning the following as an explanation of a problem, and a request for advice.

Dark Seduction wasn't set up right in Deneghra's page. It looks like someone may have partially created either the template or category for the spell. When I went to set it up, I ran in to some template loop warnings. The only way I could figure out how to get rid of the template loop problem was to delete both Template:Dark Seduction and Category:Dark Section, and then redo them both.

Is there a way of finding out more information about the templates involved in a template loop, so that next time an accident happens setting up a spell it's easier to figure out what went wrong? --Solkan

There's this aeticle obviously but otherwise, no there's not really any further info. I created the system so if you have any specific questions I'll help out.

As to Dark Seduction, I'm guessing its "teething issues" with someone setting it up in a different way before I developed thst system, as was common with some of the first pages created.

When I get some time in front of a PC, I'll dig around in the page history and see if I can find the cause of the loop. juckto (talk) 19:41, 27 June 2016 (EDT)
