• League Model - This model can only be included in armies participating in the Crossroads of Courage league.
• Mercenary - This model will work for Convergence, Cryx, Cygnar, Khador, Protectorate, and Retribution.
• Minion - This model will work for Circle, Legion, Skorne, and Trollbloods.

Abilities

• Stealth
• Run & Gun - At the end of its activation, if this model destroyed one or more enemy models with a ranged attacks during that activation, it can make a full advance.
• Courage only
  • Fateless - During your Maintenance Phase, flip a coin. If the result is heads, Holden gains Assault for one turn. If the result is Tails, Holden gains Tough for one round.
  • Witch Hunter - When an enemy model declares it is casting a spell while within 10" of this model, this model can immediately make a basic attack targeting the enemy spellcaster. If the spellcaster is destroyed as a result of this damage, the spell does not take effect.
• Coward only
  • Apparition - During your Control Phase, place this model anywhere completely within 2" of its current location.
  • Fateless - As above, except the results are either Parry or Eyeless Sight.

Weapons

• Thunerdel (Courage) - 14" range, POW 10 ranged attack.
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Purgation - Gain an additional die on attack and damage rolls with this weapon against models with an enemy upkeep spell or animus on them.
• Thunerdel (Coward) - 14" range, POW 10 ranged attack.
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Grievous Wounds - A model hit by this weapon loses Tough and cannot have damage removed from it for one round.
• Trench Knife (Both versions) - 0.5" reach, POW 3, P+S 7 melee attack

Thoughts on Holden the Grim

Holden was the star character in the multi-season narrative league Crossroads of Courage. It was set at the time when Grymkin were released (both in real life and in the fluff) and focussed on how Holden wavered between Coward and Courage. First off, players would answer an online survey which would tell them which version of Holden to use, then they would play games, then they would report back to PP, and that would affect the next season's storyline and the rules for next season's Holden.

Eventually, the fate of Holden became established and he joined the Grymkin as a Hollow Man.
