Wold Wight |
The Wold Wight is a fiercely aggressive construct fabricated amid older rituals of the Circle Orboros; it is an entity that hungers to destroy. While its blazing lanterns are fearsome weapons, their true purpose is to set the wight ablaze. While afire, the wight closes with an enemy to devour it in a sacrificial pyre that consumes everything but the wight’s stone heart, which can be salvaged.

Thoughts on Wold Wight
Wold Wight in a nutshell
The Wold Wight is a lesser warbeast in all but name and has three jobs: Shield Guard, setting infantry on fire, and powering up a Synergy chain. It more or less made the Ogrun Bokur obsolete in Circle.
Combos & Synergies
- Baldur the Stonecleaver and Baldur the Stonesoul - free charges are pretty great on a melee warbeast without advance deployment and with only two fury.
- Bradigus Thorle the Runecarver - a cheap construct to power up or benefit from Synergy.
- Any caster on a large base or who is otherwise likely to get shot (Bradigus and Morvahna the Dawnshadow spring to mind)
- Kromac, Champion of the Wurm - Hyper-aggressive on a shield guard is pretty fun. Of course the Wight doesn't benefit from half of Kromac's feat.
- Kaya the Wildheart - cheap warbeasts love Synergy even if the Wight doesn't benefit from Soothing Song.
Drawbacks & Downsides
- Takes hits like a lesser
- Circle doesn't need help wrecking infantry.
Tricks & Tips
- Field it against Menoth and have a laugh.

Trivia
- Released in the Xmas CID (2017.07)
- He has a longer fluff blurb on PP's "extras" page.
- When you type "wold wight" into Google, it auto-corrects and gives you results for a search for "wolf weight." You then have to click the "search instead for wold wight" link to get to the Hordes results. Even on that screen, it still suggests "Did you mean wolf weight?" Still no, Google. And who is weighing all of these wolves in the first place?
